In ancient times Killarney was a Mecca for scholars. The University of Inisfallen was located on an island on Killarney’s Lough Léin or Lake of Learning. Scholars from across Europe including the High King of Ireland Brian Ború were educated here and the Annals of Inisfallen, which document life in Ireland between AD 433 and AD 1450, were written here.

The aim of The Learning Resort is to revive the ethos of higher learning in Killarney by bringing the best in global educators and coaches to deliver world class, educational experiences for our visitors.

Based at The Killarney Convention Centre – which encompasses The INEC, The Gleneagle Hotel and The Brehon, The Learning Resort offers a diverse range of courses, events, seminars and guest speakers.
